In order to have access to the telephone anywhere in the house, I purchase this system and it has been extremely helpful. I can now be in the basement as well as in the bedroom or kitchen, or any place else in the house. A bonus is that I can add more units if I need them. I also like having the speaker phone feature. This is especially helpful when waiting for a company to answer or when one has to make selections.
