Excellent Replacement for Old Uniden Phones
This replaced a very old uniden telephone system that I expanded over the years. They feel like they have a similar quality to them. I am not sure why others have had issue hearing things. Both the ear and speaker work great and sound quality is perfect. I use Ooma for my home telephone service and they seem to be far
superior to the AT&T phones that I bought last month. I ended up calling back Amazon to see if I could return them as I went through 2 of them, along with purchasing new batteries, no dice. Now I don't hear my wife complaining about the telephones. The batteries that come with them are simply rechargeable AAA batteries.

Setup was a breeze. Anyone who has plugged in power and telephone cables can install this without issue. I named all the phones, had them display the name, and put them all over the house. I have a rather large house and the reach of these phones is awesome! I tested out the batter backup. It is not what you think. I had to re-read the features on Amazon. In short. Keep a handset on the main cradle at all times if there is a power outage. It uses the batter that is inside of that handset to back power the base unit. You cannot use the base, however the other handsets work perfectly. I dont have this issue as I have a battery backup that powers, this, internet, VoIP telephone system, and wireless.

All in all I love the fact that my wife is happy. Now does anyone have an idea on getting her to return the handset to their respective cradles?

This phone system is amazing! The Bluetooth feature makes it easy to carry one handset to answer one line. I love the fact that it also has a button on it where I can block unwanted calls-all I do is press that button when I receive a call from an unwanted number or if I use the CID recall and it will give me the choice (yes or no) to block that number. All I do is select yes, and then no more bothersome phone calls!! It keeps those annoying people who get around the DNC list away too!!!!! I also LOVE the 5 handsets. The fact that they are White makes them easier to locate when they are on the couch or in the chair because they do not blend in as well. I added 3 photos to show how easy it is to use this phone. It is worth every penny!!
