5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up but more features than we need.

Works great. No special effort to set it up. All I needed to do was hook it up per the quick start guide, manually load our directory entries, and push the ANSWER ON/OFF button. However, this unit can do a lot of stuff as you can tell in the product description. The user manual is 115 pages long to cover all the features. One thing I did do, as I have with previous cordless phones, is to replace the 300 mah batteries in the handsets with 1100 mah batteries. Those higher capacity batteries are available from Amazon for about $8 for a set of 8. That easily triples time between charges.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice for the price

We wanted a land line system, since the previous one we recently bought was pretty bad (not Panasonic, not A&T). I researched many systems online at several sources, and this system seemed like the best choice based on value and cost. The box was well packaged, and was delivered fairly quickly. The screen is very readable, and also has audible ID calling. Also has a "call block" button, as well as an answering system. Very easy to set up. Cell phone sync is included, as is speaker phone. Sound quality was much better than the earlier system we bought. The only complaint is that the description calls for 8 AA batteries. In reality, this needs 8 AAA rechargeable batteries (that were included). All-in-all, a very nice system with a ton of features.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great phone at a great price!

I ordered this phone for my elderly mother. She is very happy. The display is large enough so she can see it easily. The talking caller ID allows her to screen calls without having to read the display. Another attractive feature is the preloaded blocked calls with the ability to add a whopping 2000 more numbers to the block list. While this has not eliminated telemarketing scams it has worked in reducing the number of those calls received. With four handsets I was able to locate the phones around the home so one is always in easy reach.
Great value for a very good price!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Deal!

As I researched the current offerings from Panasonic that offer features that help to combat robocalls, I came across this model. It has all the most up to date capabilities, but is being offered for one third the price of the most recent models. When I checked out the operating instructions they apply to both this model and the newer ones (models KX-TGF973B/KX-TGF975B). There are no differences in features or functionality between them, except this model is rated somewhat higher for performance.

The only differences I could see are that this is a 2021 model and has a mostly silver and black finish, and the “current” models released in 2023 are black with silver trim. Otherwise they are identical! Also, this model comes with 4 handsets and the current offerings with 3 or 5 respectively.

I purchased this one (because, duh!), read the instructions, and set it up. I have Nomorobo and plan to keep it as it blocks about 90% of robocalls. My 15 year old Panasonic phone (which I absolutely love and is still working perfectly) has almost no features to deal with the spoofing calls that still get through, however, so I decided it was time for an update.

This phone, in combination with Nomorobo, can be set up to completely silence and/or block unwanted calls. It uses my phonebook and cel phone’s contact list to allow wanted calls through, plus has ways to easily block or allow other numbers (and people.) It captures the caller ID info of blocked calls for later review so that any legitimate numbers intercepted can be allowed in the future. Some spoofed calls still get through, but I have no idea until I check the CID list. There are a lot of other features, so I’ll just leave it at that. Sufficed to say, there are ways to deal with nearly anything.

So far it is functioning as intended and the call quality is excellent. I’ve had no issues except that the clarity is so good that digital compression artifacts are fairly noticeable. It has features to help with that, but I haven’t experimented with them yet.

The range is good, but as others have described, not as good as some older models (mine included.) This is a result of constantly evolving technologies causing a need for older ones (in decline) to adapt to better coexist. My old phone operates at 5.8GHz/200mW and this new one at 1.9GHz/115mW. This change is to ”play nice” with WiFi and to be more energy efficient, but unfortunately means that it simply can’t perform as well as some older models in the handset range department. That said, for my situation, the performance hasn’t suffered (because my condo is fairly small.)

(“ECO” mode doesn’t quite reach far enough to consistently “kick in” in my bedroom, so I purchased the recommended Panasonic range booster (model KX-TGA407) to correct that situation. For more information on that, check out my review of that product.)

I wanted some back up handsets and realized that it is much cheaper to buy additional whole systems (ca’ching!) to do this. So that’s what I did.

I realize that the current low price is because they are dumping the remaining stock of this now “out of date” system, but it really isn’t. If your OK with silver, get it while you can!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Deal For Four Phones With Useful Features

I decided to buy this Panasonic model phones because my old phones that started dying on me were also Panasonic and it had the same layout of buttons and settings that I figured there would be no learning curve needed and I was right.

I like the color of these phones with the base being mostly silver and the phone being silver and black because it makes it look more modern than my old phones that were all black.

My old Panasonic phones lasted me at least 10+ years before slowly dying on me (batteries started not holding a charge) and a lot has changed in those 10 years with my new phone having all these great features that I didn't know I needed. I love the one button call block, I love the Link2Cell, and I enjoy having the baby monitor feature as well.

I've read a lot of reviews saying the batteries die fast or don't hold a charge. For me, I've had absolutely no issues with the batteries or anything else with these phones.

I'm very happy with these Panasonic phones and I'm glad I got a great deal on them.

I was in shock when I stumbled across this phone set. They looked too good to be true but they were just as described. This phone set, which contains a belt clip for each handset, connects via Bluetooth to my cell phone. It allows me to make and receive calls using my cellphone line on the Panasonic handsets with no land line required. For someone who hates making calls on a cell phone and doesn't want the additional expense of paying for a landline this is a winner.

I was able to set up the system in a matter of minutes. The sound quality is great. After 20+ years using our old phones, there is a little learning to do with the button placement of the handsets. Even though the old set was also Panasonic, the "Talk" and "Off" buttons are not in the same location.

Just got these new phones a few days ago and what i realized after I purchased was that there are only 4 handsets with this model whereas my previous model there were 5. I haven't set up everything yet but did get it plugged in and working so I'll update later! No issues with the seller and I'm not rating the seller but the phone.
