I bought these for a remote job I started recently, and they have worked out wonderful. I office upstairs, while my internet/phone base is located downstairs. With the base plugged in to the internet downstairs, I still get great reception and no interference for long ranges. One reason I picked this specific model is for the speaker phone. I have neck issues, so I use speaker phone as much as possible. These have larger speakers on the back than most cordless phones. And they work well, no issues. These phones are simple to use and easy to see the keys. The battery life is awesome too.

Got these to replace my 25 year old set. Don't know why these were so buried in the searches, but glad I finally found them. I needed ones WITHOUT answering machine--as it conflicted with the voice mail service of my carrier, and would freeze the phone. Also wanted ones with integrated rechargeable batteries, other models came with plain old batteries. I'm a dinosaur "land line" user, living on a small farm. I refuse to carry a cell phone around at home. I have one of these extensions 1/2 acre away from the base, and it works beautifully! All features work as expected.

This phone doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles and there was no intensive setup needed. Just set the date and time and you're good to go. My only purpose in returning to a landline is because my cell phone just doesn't work when I'm at home. I get text messages just fine, but no one can hear me when I call out. I tried different services like Verizon and no change. I suspect it is something in this new building that just doesn't allow cell services to penetrate. So I don't really need a lot of bells and whistles in a landline phone. I just need something that works really well for calling out. I was told also that dialing 911 with poor cell service can cause delays in getting help, so this is important. I did the initial charge for 16 hours of straight charging and since then I've had the receiver off of the charger for three days now. It is still holding the full charge with no problem. I have called out for business purposes and everyone heard me!! I am super happy with this phone and I'd highly recommend it for those who need better phone service while at home.

I replaced the old cordless phone because every time there was a power interruption, it would lose the programming for the time, date, outgoing message which would require that I reprogram it. The old phone had a dim caller ID display. This new cordless phone keeps the programming, has a selectable ringer sound and low volume that does not scare me when I am taking a nap, and the caller ID display lights up and is easy to read.
